Buying

If you have jewelry and other items you no longer need, bring them in any time, and we will advise you on your best option:

1. Events - March, July & October, we have a buying week during which we buy most broadly and pay on the spot. More information
2. Buying – We buy year round but are more selective.
3. Precious metal buying - We will always buy platinum, gold or silver and certain sizes, shapes and qualities of diamonds.  Other diamonds we broker.
4. Brokerage - We broker items for a brokerage fee.
5. Consignment - We take items on consignment if we feel we can sell them for you.

Appraisals

With two American Gem Society Certified Gemologist Appraisers on staff and an AGS Certified Gem Lab, we provide a thorough, professional appraisal for insurance or estate purposes.  Our appraisals are well accepted by insurance companies.  They include color pictures, gem grading, all pertinent measurements, and provide all information necessary for positive identification or reproduction of any item.

Custom design

The best way to own the exact piece you desire is to custom design and create it.  For a quarter of a century, Richard Argo and our jewelry design staff have been turning ideas into beautiful, personal legacy pieces.  For many clients, we start from scratch, using the gems of their choosing.   For others, we give new life to heirloom pieces that have sentimental value but are no longer intact or don't match the style of the current owner.  More

Jewelry alteration

If you’ve inherited a ring that’s too small or have a bracelet that needs shortening, we can help you.  Our staff will help you determine the best size for you and our jewelers will execute the alteration with the most expert workmanship.

Jewelry repair

Jewelry repair isn't as expensive as you might think.  Do you have a clasp that no longer holds or a stone that is loose?  Bring it all to us.  We want your fine jewelry to be seen, not gather dust.  We pride ourselves on the superior workmanship of our repairs.

Jewelry restoration

We can give new life to that heirloom that has been loved and worn out by generations.  Restoration might include resetting stones, rhodium plating, buffing, cleaning, etc.  We can also completely duplicate the piece if need be.

Pearl restringing

Sometimes, the filament has broken.  Other times, clients want to add new pearls or replace them.  Our professionals are skilled at redoing pearl strands or creating new, custom pieces.

Engraving

Engraving adds a personal touch.  From sterling silver platters to baby cups and silver charms, Argo & Lehne has many gift items that can be personalized.  Our in-house capabilities allow us to work with you on quick turnaround times and on specific orders, such as engraving unusual shapes or logos.  We offer both hand and machine engraving.

Watch repair

Watch repair is an important part of our business.  When you have a timepiece that isn't keeping time, we can help.  From battery replacement to cleanings, repair, and crystal replacement, we can restore your wristwatch or pocket watch to its original beauty and working condition.

Serving central Ohio since 1902, we are very well connected in the jewelry industry.   We associate with top vendors to fill the needs of clients.   Whether you are looking for loose diamonds, special charms, or other specialty pieces, if we don't have what you seek, we can usually obtain it quickly for you.

Gift wrap

Our signature gift wrap is a treasured tradition at Argo & Lehne.  There is our basic wrap with the ribbon rose and special offerings for Christmas, children, anniversaries, etc.  We can even customize a graduation gift with school colors.  All complimentary.

Shipping

Need a gift shipped to the recipient?  Our shipping department can advise you on the best method, insure it and make sure it gets there.  Purchases over $500 are shipped free of charge.

Jewelry cleaning

Different metals and stones require special treatment in cleaning.  Bring in your rings and other jewelry and we will clean them using our ultrasonic and ionic cleaners and check the security of all mountings, all for no charge as a service to our customers.

Personal shopper

It's often hard to find the time or patience for gift selection.  After years of experience, our sales associates are experts at matching the appropriate gift with even the hardest to please recipient.  Let them take the stress out of it for you while at the same time keeping it personal.

Wishlists

Come in, browse our collection and pick out your favorites.  We will record your selections and keep them on file for anyone who needs ideas.  We’ll even call them with reminders of special occasions, if you wish.  What better way to receive something you love, and still allow the giver choices.

We offer 3^rd party financing through G.E. with 6 months to 1 year, same as cash. Interest applies if total is not paid within the stated period.
