NELLY COHEN

Israel is a country of contrast and convergence: an intersection of cultures since the dawn of time.  Ancient traditions thrive within modern life.  Drawing inspiration from thse influences, Nelly Cohen, contemporary Israeli designer, combines old world craftsmanship with leading edge technology.  Nelly, a graduate of Haifa University with a masters degree in French literature has integrated her love of poetry into her designs.  “I start with words” she says… “The lyric precedes the design”…”when I hear the rhythm I know a winner is born”.  About the name: Cherie (sweet in French) and Dori (the eldest of the three children in her family) was the inspiration for the name Cherie Dori.^TM
