This March, make your purchase count! All month, jewelry purchases from the Marilyn Parker Collection will benefit The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio. Our guest designer, Marilyn Parker, is passionate about promoting women’s causes, and we thought the Women’s Fund would be a perfect fit and a fantastic way to celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.
Marilyn’s jewelry is bold, contemporary and full of color. We will be showcasing a sampling of her work all month. However, on March 4th, she will have a trunk show with a vast assortment of her designs. We have had a sneak peek and be prepared to be wowed! The gorgeous pastels couldn’t arrive at a better time. They have immediately launched us into spring and brought new meaning to the phrase “eye candy”!
What the Donation Supports
Marilyn Parker, Designer
Marilyn Parker was an undergraduate art major at Purdue University. She focused her graduate work at The Ohio State University on literacy and children’s literature with an emphasis on the arts. She was an elementary school educator for 34 years. In Columbus Public Schools, she was involved in Arts Impact and CGAC’s Artists in the School programs. At Columbus School for Girls, she was a teacher, librarian, and administrator, inviting arts groups, authors, poets, illustrators, and artists to enrich her students and colleagues. She actively returned to art upon retirement when she discovered her love for metalsmithing and jewelry making.
“Movement, color, versatility, and sense of whimsy. I use mainly silver, vintage lucite and Bakelite, and Murano glass beads. I am inspired by the materials themselves and by the simple forms I observe in my environment. My goal is to create comfortable, timeless, and attractive jewelry that you will enjoy owning!”

Trunk Show, Saturday, March 4, 2023
We will kick off the trunk show event with an informal Breakfast at Argo’s, sponsored by The Coventry, from 10-12pm. The Coventry is our new neighbor, a luxury senior living community in the heart of Upper Arlington. What better way to welcome them to the neighborhood than a “shop & nosh”. To learn more about the Coventry, you will have the opportunity to speak with Sally, The Coventry Executive Director, and David, The Coventry Community Relations Director. They can answer any of your questions about their most beautiful space. Furthermore, those attending the breakfast will have VIP access/first viewing of Marilyn Parker’s colorful jewelry collection! The Coventry will also have a drawing where two lucky winners will receive $50 in Argo & Lehne Gift Coins, which you can use the same day!
Designer Marilyn Parker and her team will join us all day Saturday from 10-5pm with an extensive collection of her works. Imagine a sea of fashion-forward spring baubles at exceptional prices! You won’t want to miss this event and will be blown away by the versatile and brightly colored pieces. Warning: you’ll want to buy them all!
