The surprise proposal at Barcelona restaurant...of course she said, YES!
Brent and I both think we have old souls. We love old cities, homes, furniture, and jewelry. It’s the stories that these things carry and the love that so many people have put into them to restore to their original beauty that we adore. So, when we began to search for an engagement ring we knew we wanted an antique. I adore Art Deco settings and how all the different cuts and jewels can come together in a gorgeous mosaic piece that just makes sense. We had looked at a few other antique stores in Columbus and in other cities- knowing the ‘perfect’ ring would be hard to find. Then, we went to Argo & Lehne and found a gorgeous variety of rings. We found THE ring that was so close to perfect and well within our budget. With the help from Michelle Berger and Richard Argo, we designed custom bands to complete the Art Deco look we dreamed of around the vintage ring we loved. The finished product was kept a surprise to me until the day my sweet fiancé got down on one knee. When he opened the ring box, I was blown away! The new custom bands perfectly compliment the old 1920’s design of the main ring seamlessly; blending the old with the new and even throwing the something blue in with the sapphires on the side.
