Instagram Self Care Giveaway with Skin & Sugar
Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day! Ladies, this is our time to shine, recognize each other and maybe even win a gorgeous ring and a luxe spa package from Skin & Sugar!
Each March, we make it our mission to give back to causes that resonate with us and our clients. This March we are focusing on self-care! Oh how we all need it! With the extra stress of the pandemic and everything else going on in each of our lives it seems the perfect time to reflect on a subject matter that has affected us all at some point, anxiety and depression. All month long we will be donating 10% of the purchase price to ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) with each jewelry purchase. Just mention the cause at checkout online or with an A&L sales associate. To learn more, click here.
In addition, we have partnered with the local female owned spa, Skin and Sugar. They have two locations – Upper Arlington and Powell. We absolutely love their products and services and are so pleased that together we can raise awareness of the importance of self care. When we are depleted, it’s impossible to give ourselves to other responsibilities, projects, friends, family, etc.. We can always make excuses as to why we can’t find the time but nothing is as important as taking care of yourself. (more…)

What better time than Valentine’s Day to begin our new and rose inspired exhibit, “Flourish”?! We couldn’t be more proud of our very own, Design Liaison & Sales Associate, Sarah Peters. Sarah began working at Argo & Lehne in May of last year. She was a great fit with her gentle and kind nature matched with her love of fashion and jewelry. It’s no surprise she was drawn to many of our one of a kind pieces and our inclination for the arts. As an artist herself and a Upper Arlington resident she was drawn to the idea of one day having her own Art at Argo’s show. Well, in the past month or so we convinced her that the time was right!

As one of the world’s most popular gems, many ask what makes a ruby so beautiful and how does one tell if the ruby they are looking at is of high quality? This is a great question! You don’t need to be a gemologist to understand the quality and value of a ruby, but we all might benefit from more education shopping for rubies. In this article we will tell you all you need to know about rubies and answer the common question “How Can You Tell The Quality Of A Ruby”.
The History Of Rubies
Many cultures have considered rubies the gemstone of kings. Historically, the stone was worn in many battles as it was thought to be a stone of protection. Some cultures even went as far as inserting the stone into the skin as they believed this would protect them. Ruby goes back as far as the Bible and is still ever so popular. With its intense red color it only makes sense that it also symbolizes wealth and passion. It is the birthstone of July and Cancer and both the 15th and 40th anniversary stone.
