2022 Spring Style Report

More than ever we want to break out of the winter/pandemic hibernation rut and jump into spring! And many are taking that step forward in bright looks using color and metal while staying steadfast to natural elements and softer styles. Vintage Jewelry from Georgian to Art Deco

As a purveyor of estate jewelry, we find that our most sought after pieces pre-date 1940 and go all the way back to the Georgian era, spanning 5 eras. It may be hard to distinguish one from the other if you haven’t been trained to do so but they each have distinct characteristics. Here we delve into each era and explain the design behind the time period. If you would like to view more examples of vintage pieces, visit our website and view our vintage collection.

A&L Staff Picks Under $1000

The holiday is nearing and our team has assembled their favorite jewelry all under $1000. Some of their choices would even make great little stocking stuffers. There is much to choose from in the store that it was hard for everyone to only select a few. I hope you enjoy the read and it helps those who are looking for those last minute gifts. To see some of the items up close be sure to watch the Facebook video on Thursday, December 17 at 7pm.

Janet’s Picks – delicate everyday jewelry

Janet’s first selection is what we refer to as “diamonds by the yard” or a “station necklace”. The collection comes in many colors: rose, yellow and white gold as well as many lengths. They are available in bracelet as well as necklace. The price point varies on the size of diamonds but the bracelets begin at $480 and the necklaces begin at $840.

“I love both the diamond station bracelet and necklace. In fact, I just ordered a bracelet as a friend’s gift. They are perfectly delicate when worn alone and add just the right amount of sparkle and interest when layered. Because of the delicacy I like that they can be layered with mixed metals – yellow gold with a sliver cuff, etc…” – Janet

Theme: Festive Fall Warmth – a beautiful November wedding that was not tied to a particular holiday but seasonal, welcoming, and romantic.

Venue: The Boat House at Confluence Park

“We selected The Boat House because we thought it would be absolutely perfect for a November wedding. Because we had a lot of Kate’s family coming in from Chicago, we wanted a venue that was close to the Short North, Downtown, and Ohio State University. The view of downtown from the Buckeye Room at The Boat House is unbelievable!”

Something Borrowed?

“Yes! Jenna borrowed gorgeous pearl and diamond earrings from Argo & Lehne.”
