We are proud to announce that former employee & Columbus native, Jennifer Tieche, will showcase her art at Argo & Lehne from Oct 27 – Jan 5 in the installation “Spectrum: Creating Moods & Feelings through Colors”. This retrospective collection looks at the journey from darkness to lightness and encourages the viewer to feel the emotions of each piece. (more…)
Continue Reading5 Reasons to Come to Argo & Lehne for Jewelry Appraisals
“If you’re not getting paid for it, you’re obsessive; if you’re getting paid, you’re meticulous.” -Robert Argo
Hi, everyone! This is Glenda Argo. Bob Argo and I are, among other things, the appraisal team at Argo & Lehne. At a time when many jewelers are not offering appraisals or are outsourcing them, we continue to do them all in-house as we have for decades, as part of our full-service philosophy. Full-service means we want to be your one-stop source for everything jewelry related!
Here are five important reasons to have Argo & Lehne appraise your jewelry:
• Quality – We apply our store philosophy of quality and excellence to everything we do, including appraisals. Our two-person team ensures accuracy – two sets of eyes on every appraisal with double and triple checking. We are meticulous and maybe we fuss a little too much, but that’s just how we operate. Who is Vinnie ?
Vinnie has been with Argo & Lehne Jewelers for 42 years, officially the longest employment of all of the team. She explains, “I’m family-oriented, a dog lover & dedicated employee.”
If you ask us, we can tell you she is the pulse of the store. She is the first to arrive in the morning and stays far past her scheduled departure time…most days. On top of all that, she is a kind soul with a great sense of humor. We are so fortunate to have her and all her knowledge.
Art at Argo’s: Valerie Lamb-Steece
We are pleased to introduce our next Art at Argo’s artist, Valerie Lamb-Steece. As the season is finally beginning to change and the sun is beginning to peak out of the clouds, it seems a fitting time for the bright and colorful work of this local UA resident.

I first encountered encountered Hawkes Crystal at a pop-up shop at the Columbus Museum of Art. The shop sat on a sunny day in Derby Court. You couldn’t miss the sparkling crystal under the glass ceiling. These were not your standard crystal pieces. It was clear this cut glass work was that of a master craftsman. And in fact, I soon learned of Hawkes Crystal’s owner & Brilliant Master Cutter, Aidan Scully.
We are pleased to announce that Hawkes Crystal is now available at Argo & Lehne Jewelers. The collection will make you swoon & remember the luxuries of brilliant pasts. The romance of each piece is etched in craftsmanship. We love how Hawkes Crystal has taken the original T.G. Hawkes & Company patterns of past and has created gorgeous contemporary pieces perfect for interiors of today. (more…)
Get Together. Be Bold. Support Local.
Women in the community making a difference. Patricia Ammendola (customer and friend) joins forces with A&L to raise money for a passionate cause-LifeCare Alliance.
Last year we initiated Shine for a Cause, a store promotion which donated a percentage from purchases back to 4 local female organizations, which included Freedom a la Cart, the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, Choices for victims of domestic violence and Dress for Success. The event was a complete success and a definite “feel good” activity for the store and our customers. During the planning of the event, I shared much of the knowledge of each organization with friends in the area and soon realized so many of our friends & customers have causes that they regularly serve on boards and as volunteer. I’ve continued to get acquainted with other local organizations more intimately and made a personal promise that each year we’ll connect with a cause and give back! This city has so many great opportunities for doing just that so it was a difficult decision to select just one. I am very excited to announce our involvement this March with LifeCare Alliance, to help share their mission and make an impact. (more…)
